How to saw ERC with heart rot

I've sawn a good bit of it here around Memphis, TN. Most of the 14" and up will have some or a lot close to the base of the tree. Them hollow ones you can run a stick up the hole to get an idea where to whack it off. Made a 16' X 16' deck for my house with it being picky about what boards I used where. you can see some of the pecky wood.

Nice....   I've even used it to wall up deer stand shooting houses.  When you gots the lumber you gots to use it.....

I sawed 5 logs after lunch today with the first being the nasty one in my first picture.  The rot only went up the log maybe 5 inches max...got a lot of nice looking 8 to 10" wide boards out of it...I was lucky on that one.  Another bad looking log I was able to butt off bout 3' on the end until I got to good wood.

JRC, where you located at?  I might be able to fix ya rite up with some of them expensive hollow logs...might not be ERC but them rich folk won’t notice the difference.
