I think Stihl has the HP numbers over rated on the 290. 310 and 390 saws, the ones I've run were no where near the power stated when compared to other saws with less HP.
I think Stihl has the HP numbers over rated on the 290. 310 and 390 saws, the ones I've run were no where near the power stated when compared to other saws with less HP. They have the MS290 at 3.8 HP and the MS260 at 3.2 HP yet they cut just about the same. Steve

Stevehp figures have been independently confirmed, it's just that they are a bit peaky; power drops significantly above peak hp rpm.
what is that little tweek that I can so with my 310 to make it run better?
