It's been a while
« on: November 28, 2009, 07:31:15 pm »
Without going into all the details, let's just say the past few months have been rather interesting.  I had surgery 8/17 to remove a tumor in my spinal cord between C2 and C3.  It turned out to be Melanoma.  No other sign of any cancer anywhere.  Very rare situation.
As of the MRI following radiation treatments last month, I am "clean".  At least for the time being and hopefully for good.
Meanwhile, I am on long term disability and have applied for SS disability.  Doubt if I'll ever go back to work.  My right leg and especially my arm, shoulder and neck are still quite impaired from the tumor and the surgery and I'm still doing therapy a couple times a week.  Hope to get back to something close to normal eventually.  Meanwhile, I'm darn grateful they got it when they did and I can function as well as I can.  At least I can drive and walk, mostly using a cane except around the house.
Greetings to all my FFriends.

  WOW. Interesting I'd reckon  :o :o :o

  Glad to hear things are looking up.
All truth passes through three stages:
   First, it is ridiculed;
   Second, it is violently opposed; and
   Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

I thank all for the well wishes.  Maybe I might even have time in the future to travel around some and meet a few of you folks.  Would love to go to NB and NS but don't have a passport.   :-\
