H46 and H48 chain

Was wondering the difference between H46 and H48 husqvarna chain type?  Thanks

That is what is said about the H46 and H48 saw chain on the Husky website.
But  it also says that the H46 has a drive link thickness of 0.50" while as the H48 has a drive link thickness of 0.58"

So I guess the 46 and 48 denotes the different drive link thickness while the cutters seem to be the same.

Now, can anyone tell me what the difference between H48 and H48S is? The description on the web site Joe Indi gave is identical, and both say "standard sequence", so my guess that the "S" stood for "skip" appears to be wrong. I've been using the Oregon equivalent for most of my 3/8 chains (which I guess is identical to either the 48 or 48S, since Husky is rebadged Oregon chain?).

Thanks, Joe, but I didn't ask about the difference between H46 and H48. I was wondering about H48 and H48S.  What does the "S" signify, since it doesn't seem to mean "skip"?

Okay John, I understand what you are saying now.

Frankly, I too cannot find any difference between the H48 and the H48S.
Descriptions are same, images are same.
Only the prices differ.
The 'S' seems to add a couple of $s to the price.
So could 'S' mean 'Swindle?

Joe -

The price difference disappears if you compare similar lengths of chain. For some reason, one of the tables does not go below a 72 link loop (if i recall correctly).

Maybe one of them is an older design that is still in their inventory?
