I knew there would be some free wood available. My neighbor had a 100ft white oak fall on her house. The tree company has stacked about 8 8ft logs stacked on the street in front of her house. She said if I can move I can I have it. HELP?? I not sure what the agreement was between her and the tree service on the logs. I have been searching for a someone with portable mill in the area and I have been unsuccessful. A couple of these logs near the base of the tree are going to be too big for a portable mill 40"-48" (I would expect). Any ideas. The tree companies are swamped so getting them transport is probably not going to be easy for a while. 25 trees we downed in my neighborhood, all oaks.
