Mine is  the original color and has the direction stickers still on the wood.
They are gettig a little tatered .So I took some pictures before the paper was all gone,should of taken pictures a long time ago :(

The one pictured is the original color too.  The folding saw company of Chicago was in business for many years and there were several incarnations of the saw.  The one I have on the mantle was one of the first units and they were not painted, they were oiled.

Must be that mine is oiled because it is just the color of the wood!
