When Carolina Machinery Sales signed on to represent this product, Forestry Forum is the first place I thought of to release the news!  CMS demonstrated the machine at the Field Days in Boonville, NY this past weekend and the machine was a huge hit.  We have another demonstration set for the first weekend in September.  We will have two locations - Friday, Sept 4th in Syracuse and Saturday Sept 5th in Waterloo.  Check in with CMS to confirm your spot!  For the Southerners - We will demonstrate in NC later in the month!

Here is a video of the machine running: .  We will have an updated video shortly showing the setter working.  Instead of pushing the the hardened tip of the blade, the setter bends it from the top.

OK guys, I am new to the video aspect and have a way to go before I am a "professional"!  Here is a video of David with a machine we are setting up for a customer.  Eeeeeeasy on the camera jokes!


At the beginning we just put a blade on the machine and turned on the pushing mechanism with the grinding head in the air so you get a clear view.  You will notice the engineering on this machine is very basic and well built.  The he puts the top on the setter and clamps the blade in place.  Next David drops the head - Normally the head would already be down.  There are (3) screw adjustments that let you customize your settings for depth, spacing and how agressive you want to grind the blade.

The pump allows for a wet or dry grind and has a separate switch.  Last, the magnet is added for the auto-stop feature.  There are also some new close up photos of the machine on our site under New Equipment.  We have about (6) of these machines out already and everyone likes them a lot - Happy to provide a reference when needed. 

We are beginning to use the machines to sharpen blades in NY and NC.  This allows customers to really see the product in action.  Please let me know if you have any questions about the machine.

Does the tooth setter go, left /straight/right/straight? or left /right/straight, like the standard blades? Just curious. I like the simplicity of the setter.  :D

Thanks for the inquiry!  The machine sets just like your blades are set up - Left, Right, Straight just like your current setup.  The setter bends the tooth from the top instead of pushing from the side, as this helps relieve pressure the blade tips.
