Depends what you are shopping for. Smiley  But knowing what it takes to get somewhere in Costa Rica to shop, yes, there is great shopping "near by"  Smiley

I think you should come this year. Smiley

Herein lies the flaw. August is very busy for us and every year I think "better hang around to help, but next year they won't need me..."  Roll Eyes

What Jeff needs to do it have it oh say in September or October when the temperature is more moderate and I have time open in my schedule... but then people's kids are in school.  Sad

Well, talked with the boss and she has authorized Hickory&Oak Sawmilling, LLC to take the day off and head up to the great white northern lands. We will be bringing some food-dont know what yet.  Just a doin da Forestry Forum Boogie
We plan on staying at the private campground there right off the main road. Anyone else staying there (can't remember the name of it)?

Looks like the count is 72 and 73 with the Sunfields so me and Hana make it 75.

What kind of weather (high and low temps, rain, etc.) should a southern boy expect during that time of year in Michigan? Chances are looking better every day.

Here's another view of what you can expect from Michigan's  August weather. It'll likely be between 35 and 95 degrees, range from heavy clouds to clear blue skies, be anything from heavy rain to drought, and yes, you might even find snow here, as Jeff indicated. I have seen snow in the woods in July.  When you leave home in Michigan you take clothing from heavy jackets to bathing suits, and every thing in between.  If you can predict Michigan weather, you could be a billionaire.

Here is what we normally have that weekend for weather.  Lows in the upper 60's at night, highs in the mid 80's and sunny.  Skeeters should not be bad as we will fog for them on Wednesday.  NOW KNOCK ON WOOD.   I'm in da U.P. right now on a saw job believe it or not. Still a little sawyer left that has not been took over by geek.  Took me 3 days to finally get connected to the forum though. Dang nextel/verison merger I think.  I'll be bringing home some lumber and cedar poles to make some more pigroast tables. Be home Sunday.
