you're lucky he showed up and stayed until you were done, I've heard of cops demanding that the guy paying for the detail sign that they were there until what ever time they were suposed to be and then taking off hours early.

This practic of a "detail" person (s) is all new to me. Have never heard of such a thing being done. Sounds like graft of the highest order, and for some reason smacks of payola.

Hopefully the practice stays out east, but will watch for it coming this way, and try to head it back.  ;D ;D

I think the cops in Mass. do this on their own time but get to use the cop cars. Kinda legalised corruption.
