We need your help!

Just look at a few of these threads about Tree ID.  If you want to test your tree knowledge, this Forum is the best place on the Web.  If it is about Forestry or Sawmilling, this is the place!

Post a pic here and you will get your tree identified.  I love this place, and I have learned a ton here.  No hype, just good people sharing knowledge.  Our esteemed owner, Jeff, provides all this for us totally free.  He works hard every day to keep this Forum a special place.  I have made many friends here, and there have been a number of members that have visited my home to discuss trees, sawmilling, and forestry.   I have also visited a number of members as well.  I have invitations to visit many more.  Jeff has opened his home to me for the last two Pig Roasts that I attended to meet the members and enjoy fellowship for several days in August.  This has been an enriching experience for me!  An old Southern boy visiting Northern Michigan ;D.  Where else could this happen?

Several of us members are making an effort to support this unique Forum so that it can remain such a special place for us to meet each other and interact in the world of Forestry.  Supporting the Forum is a voluntary process on our part to show our appreciation for this place and for what Jeff and his family does to make it available for us.  When we approached Jeff about supporting the Forum, he was reluctant because it was his life love, and he created this place because he had a vision, not because he was looking for contributions to maintain it.  But is a fact that it costs money to make this place available for us.  I for one am better because of this vision.  I have made some lifelong friends as a result.  So, I am selfish, and I want this great vision to endure.

While it is free to us members to interact here, running the Forum is not free.  So, we members can show our appreciation and support by making a voluntary contribution to the expense of making the Forum available to us.

Please show your support by making a contribution to help defray the expenses of maintaining the Forum.  Here is how you can make a contribution.

Send a check in US funds to:

The Forestry Forum Fund
P.O. Box 5173
Bloomington, IN 47407-5173

Because the contributions have to be in US funds, our international members can easily contribute by clicking on the PayPal link on the left side of the page.

Any amount will serve to support this Forum and keep it available to us.  Jeff and the Admins are not involved in this effort.  It is totally member generated.  Beenthere, Radar67, Dave Shepard, and FarmerDoug, and I conspired to do this on our own  8).  An accountant collects the funds for us and distrubutes them to the Forum at the end ot the support period, which is two weeks this Spring.

If you appreciate and value this place, please show it by supporting the Forum with any amount that you feel is appropriate.  If you do not feel a contribution is appropriate, then just continue to enjoy this place and make it the best Forestry Forum in the World!
