I'd guess the rest of them are Maples, mostly reds, but it's still just a guess till you cut one down and/or show the rest of the tree. Could be a Beech or Aspen too, can't tell with the poor lighting in the pictures.

Gary_C the species you've chosen are correct, but 2 more to go. Any guess to which tree photo goes with which name? ;D


WDH, no redbud up here. In Canada it's only found in the Deciduous Forest Region of southern Ontario. Also, of note it has been discovered in fossils in the Don River Valley near Toronto.

So #2 is still up for grabs.....I'd go with box elder next but the maple family is already spoken for I see.
Seems to have some sort of horizontal look to the bark pattern so that in my mind eliminates oaks, hickories, and elms since the young ones I've seen can be somewhat smooth but still have hints of vertical lines. Not "birchy" looking enough....kinda left with cherry but that's pretty tentative

Maybe I can string out a few more names and you can just say Yep it's one of them :D
