E-Classic Re-lighting issue solved
« on: August 22, 2008, 03:11:19 pm »
Hey all -

I solved the issue of my E-Classic 2300 wood only model having the fire die out while I am trying to just heat my DHW. I talked to CB and the solution is to put a paperclip in the upper solenoid (primary air) so it can't close completely. This allows enough air in to keep the fire going.

Sounds like a redneck fix to me and there is still a problem. You shouldn't have to do that. They should supply a better fix than " stick a paper clip in it" . If you are happy with it that is all that counts. I for one would not be happy with that answer. They would be out there to fix it the right way on their dime.Just my $ .02 .ADAMINMO

I don't disagree. My sense is that they have heard this from a few folks and a better more permanent solution is on the way. I intend to keep after them on that.
