Swisher tow behind mower
« on: July 18, 2008, 05:26:48 pm »
I'm looking at a 44" 12.5 hp trailcutter tow behind mower and wondering if anyone has experience with these.  I'd like to use it for maintaining and creating trails, the bigger the sapling it will cut the better.  I have a walk behind DR field and brush cutter which works really well for that type of stuff, but it can only do so much before I get tired of walking and manhandleing it around.

thanks

I have sold a few and they seem to work well. It is a very simple yet durable design. On the downside, a flail would do better cleaning to ground level and the tow behind needs a wide turning radius. It is also difficult to back up

thanks for the reply, mainly this will be cutting more long grass/weed type stuff and then some saplings on the edges and if I'm cutting a new trail, I don't think a flail mower will cut grass as nicely, but correct me if I'm wrong.  What kind of price are you selling the 44" 12.5hp trail cutter models for?

thanks
