This weekend, June 20-22, just northeast of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, they are holding the 19th annual lMidwest Renewable Energy Fair , covering solar energy, wind energy, and almost every type of alternative energy you can think of. Their website is
www.the-mrea.org . Now, more than ever, this is really a chance to familiarize yourself with what is available as far as different companies that provide a source for information ,parts, and/or services available towards living less oil dependant.
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association has their own facility there in Custer, Wis and they have seminars and classes year round, in addition to also offering classes,usually at local tech or vocational schools across the midwest.
By the way, the guest speaker on Saturday is Jim Hightower, who in my book, makes a lot of sense.I am definately going to see him if seats are still available.
