'nother WM success..
« on: April 14, 2008, 10:19:39 pm »
Good friend of mine swung by to look at the mill, and since I just happen to be sawing long 6x6s I put him to work..I'm a *DanG opportunist...He watched me scale and saw the first log, didn't want to saw because he didn't want to screw it up...ok,
loaded the next one and took a union break..."ok, this one is yours..get busy!"  He sawed it pretty much without a hitch,
even got a better grade timber than I thought we'd get out of that log...it was gonna be a gin pole, but it is so clear and pretty
that I am going to put it in the front of the shed...three tight little knots in one 16' 6x... ;D i love this job.

I doubt he will be buying a mill..but he will definetly be back to play.

He had good things to say about my favorite Logrite hook too...

Having a portable sawmill is kinda like Tom Sawyer and painting a fence. In stead of letting them just stand around and gawk, let em know "if'n they got somethin' to trade, you'll let them off load and stack."  :D :D :D
