Pictures out of my window at work this afternoon...  :(

I'm sooooo ready for spring.  Guess it's a good thing I didn't take the plow off the truck yet.  They are saying we could get up to 6 inches today.

I think they are going to get a foot of April snow as far east as Minnesota.  ;D It has been melting here fast, but never fast enough I guess.  :)

Mowed the entrance to the mill yesterday evening and got a water moc with the weed eater.  So for the first mow of the year I got my first snake.  Going to be a good year.  Dogwoods just starting to bloom.

The only water I struck was when I stepped into the stream of water with my moccasins on, which was coming in the basement from melting snow.  ;D

It is supposed to get close to freezing here tomorrow night, low of 32° F.  In come all the potted plants :).  I am glad that I have held off planting the garden so far.  A bit of procrastination and a bit of concern over the soil temp.

Another very cool spring, all in all.

Danny , still a foot and a half of that white stuff here yet , my driveway is clear of it the ditches are running but are still covered with snow .
I have not taken the dust off of my lawn tractor yet ...  or even looked at any garden tool .

Looking to be in the 60's from Wednesday onward here. The silver maples down around Sheffield in the lowlands are in bloom now. Not much snow down south, almost gone. The ice has been moving out of the rivers here. Lakes have thin ice now and the deer are treading lightly as they walk across it. I saw more deer today near home than I did all through the south, but likely so because the snow is deeper here and the deer are out on the bare patches along the highway. Lots of road kills. Aspen is blooming here locally like willows.

That sure is a nice house you have there. It does seem a little small for a family though. ;)

Heres a few different pics of spring here where I live

You know its spring when you can get a pic looking down the throat of an ice breaker

Here is another pic of the same boat breaking the ice in the harbour to open it up for the coastal supply boat

Its also time for the beavers to get out and start cutting down birch for food

Spring means so many different things in so many different places

We just got back from Anaheim last night, where they were having record breaking temperatures.  Most of the snow here at home was melted and we figured winter was at last behind us.  This is what we woke up to this morning!!

Off my back porch:

The back porch itself:

It just stopped snowing and there is almost 2" of snow on the porch now.  :(  It is difficult to see in the pics but it was really coming down.

After about 2" of rain last night the frogs and earthworms came out. Heard the frogs croaking today, not singing yet. Kinda cold in the 40's, but our frogs can freeze and not be harmed.
