WM edger Motor speed
« on: February 11, 2008, 05:42:15 am »
Has anyone got an electric WM twin blade egder.  Can you tell me the motor speed and pulley size.  I am thinking of swapping the gas engine over for a 3 phase motor.  My thought is to have it running for longer periods and edging as I go rather than building up a stack and then edging for a while.  Also noise and fuel are issues.
The conversion should be reasonably easy.  Trading in and buying new electric is not a good option due to limited local market for edgers and time to get a new one over here.

The RPM on the 15HP electric motor, we use, is 3450. The pulley is a 3 groove, 4.75 inch.   Thanks all and be careful out there.
