Sorry I missed it guys. Hindsight, maybe I should have let the neighbors chinese generator wait a couple of days...PineNut, what all else do you heat with that owb furnace? I did have a visit from new member JayG, he and wife enroute to Waynesboro Miss.

Sorry I am so late with a reply. I use the OWB to heat the house, greenhouse and kiln. Also use it for domestic hot water. I don’t know what the pay back time is but now I keep the house nice and warm in the winter and take all of the long hot showers I like. So for me, it is comfort as much as economics. Of course with cap and trade (spelled tax) it may well be economics also.

Looks like another gathering at pineywoods place. This wasn't planned, just sorta came together. Tue, jan 26 So far WDH, Ljmathias, fishpharmer coming. Maybe brdmkr, woodbowl and Magicman. Pretty sure planman54 and arlcon will show up as they are local.. I realize this is kinda short notice but like I said, things just sorta fell in place without any real planning. As previously, everybody is welcome, there will be catered BBQ brisket lunch around 2 pm , just don't show up without letting me know, a day or so ahead else you might go hungry. We'll talk solar kilns, sawmills, logging, and tell liesstories. IF the weather is bad, I have a big house and the spouse likes visitors..

Sorry guys, we'll have to call it off. My wife got up at 1 am this morning to go to the bathroom, fell and broke her pelvis. She is now resting comfortably in a hospital 35 miles from home. Outlook is rather fuzzy right now, specialist being called in but probably won't show till Monday morning. Realisticly we are look at 3 to 6 weeks recuperation, but that doesn't take into account her crippled leg...I'm gonna be spending a bunch of time sitting around a hospital

Sorry to hear about your wife, and your upcoming "stay-put" situation. Hope you have a laptop to keep on the forum.

Prayers for you both.

Piney, I'm so sorry.  My prayers are with her (and you) during her recovery.
