I just received the announcement that the West Coast Dry Kiln Association has cancelled its 54th annual meeing that had been scheduled for this May. They were unable to "secure an adequate number of qualified speakers, on a variety of timely, and meaningful topics. The economic downturn inthewood products economy is another concern, along with the recent Wood technology Clinic, held in Portland the week of March 17th., was a good indicator of a very sluggish sector of our economy." Only one other time have they not held an annuyal meeting, that being in 9182 when things were very slow.
