The Dixie Chicks should stay out of our country after this statement.

Statement from Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks
March 14, 2003

"As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."

I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost.

Would it not be a "possible alternative" that we do nothing and hand over the country to who ever may want it?   Is it ok with her that we sit back and hope we are never attacked like we were on 9/11, do NOTHING at all?   Is that what she thinks best?

What that says to me (and to the other side) is "Do as you wish to us and we will just run away or try and hide till it gets better." if she gets her way. >:(   Just flat give away the country before we fight.

I had a couple of paragraphs typed out here, but I deleted all of it. I dont think I could type much past this without getting in trouble.
Every time the chicks came on the radio today I switched the station. Made me sick to my stomach.

Me either hosslog, I care for them one heck of a lot less now, guess that my changing the channel may not make a difference to them but it makes me feel better. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion but that doesn't mean I have to listen to it.

In Kansas City during the St Pats parade (3rd largest in US), people were throwing Dixie Chicks CDs under the wheels of anything big.

It is a crime, however, to actually throw a Dixie Chick under the same wheels.  I guess they were being run over in effigy.

She has a right to think and say what she wants, just as she first said.  Unfortunately, freedom of speech is a double edged sword...others don't have to like what you said.

I'm sorry, in support of Bush:
If the UN was anything more than a "beggars club" who is anti-western until they need money or bodies, GW wouldn't have to be dealing with this now.

If Clinton would have done this when he had the approval, Bush wouldn't be dealing with this now.

If the rest of the world's leaders would have listened to Bush a year and a half ago, and stood together, things would probably be really different today...(quite literally today)

If France, Russia, and Germany would have obeyed the UN's trade restrictions, we probably wouldn't be here today, nor would our troops be facing as dire of a threat.

Sorry, Chick...I will single out the goofy looking one with the big mouth, it is my opinion that people like her got us here.

May God watch over our troops, all this be short, and we all stumble across a good tree in the near future.  Wood had to be part of this.  Thank you gentlemen for letting me vent.
So many trees, so little money, even less time.

There was a quote on Fox news the other day from a viewer who suggested that the Dixie Chicks be renamed the Baghdad Broads.  I like it.  It's kinda catchy.  They can move over there and play for SH in a bunker under a palace.  Think bunker buster bombs here.

I've always said, "Freedom of Speech" does not mean, "Cheap Talk!"

Every one of these celebrity "know-it-alls" needs to thank God that they live in the good ole USofA, cause if they shot their mouths off like this in plenty of countries... well, they wouldn't get on Saddam's TV would they?

Michael Moore, the pretend President (Martin Sheen), Mike Farrel (shoot, now I can't watch MASH anymore) all make me want ta puke. Have they expended one ounce of energy for their county? I wonder?

OK, I gotta go get my BP back down to a reasonable number....

Oh yes, the ground is dryin' out a little so I can get back to cuttin'....Yippee. That gets the BP back down.

God Bless the troops and may He be with the POWs!

Subject: Letter to The Dixie Chicks from a soldier

Letter from radio station website in Lubbock, home of the Dixie Chick that spewed forth about our president:

An open letter to the Dixie Chicks:

Earlier this week, while performing in London, you stated that you were ashamed that our President is from your home state. I wonder if you realized how many Americans would be listening. This American was listening. This Texan is ashamed that you come from my state. I serve my country as an officer in the United States Navy.  Specifically, I fly F-14 Tomcats off carriers around the world, executing the missions that preserve the very freedom you claim to exercise. I have proudly fought for my country in skies over Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan without regret. Though I may disagree wholeheartedly with your comments, I will defend to the death your right to say them, in America.  But for you to travel to a foreign land and publicly criticize our Commander in Chief is cowardice behavior. Would you have so willingly made those comments while performing for a patriotic, flag-waving crowd of Texans in Lubbock? I would imagine not. How dare you pocket profits off songs about soldiers, their deaths and patriotism while criticizing their Commander in Chief abroad, even while they to give their lives to ensure your own freedom of speech. Please ask yourself, what have you done to deserve that sacrifice? Do not try to justify your comments by claiming that you made them only because you care about innocent lives. Never once in our history have we committed troops to war for the purpose of taking innocent lives. We do it to protect innocent lives, even yours. If the world leaders of the late 1930's had the vision and courage of our present Commander in Chief, perhaps the evil men who caused the death of millions in WWII would have never had the opportunity to harm a soul. The potential loss of millions of lives in the future at the hands of today's evil men necessitate action. In a separate correspondence, I am returning to you each and every Dixie Chicks CD and cassette that I have ever purchased. Never again will I allow my funds to support your behavior. All you have done is to add your name to a growing list of American "Celebrities" who have failed to realize that they have obtained their successes on the backs of the American blue-collar workers such as our servicemen and women.

To Natalie Maines: This Texan, this American will continue to risk his life to guarantee your freedoms. What will you do to deserve it?

PS - God bless Texas!

Kinda to the point aint it.

The dixie chicks are rating right up there with all these "Know it all's" on the news channels. telling us what our armed force's should be doing. and what they are doing wrong.

They get the news just like we do, I have to beleive that the amount of information we are getting does not come close to everything that is actually happening, and  that it will be years down the road before we get all the skinney. and this is as it should be.
