That's a good guess Lee but I have seen a papaya tree and my memory says the leaves aren't that big.
If Lee is not right does it bloom flowers or produce fruit? Mybe its a mango tree I have never seen one of those.

I really think it's a Tropical. No fruit.
YEP, it's Tropical, Central and South America. CAN grow to 80 ' and a 30" trunk in 6 years.
If left to grow, it can attain 6' dia.
Definitely not Paulownia.

Hard to tell from the photo, but I would guess Balsa.

Oh that's no fair you live there.
I had Balsa on the tips of my fingers so I googled an image of it and it didn't look like it to me and so I didn't offer it. Plus Harold said a "weed" tree so I ruled it out for that too.

Balsa IS a weed tree down here. Scratch the surface in good soil and you will have a balsa tree.

Yeppers I know Harold. I was just saying - in my own wierd way - that Fred answering your trivia was about like me answering my own. But I guess I should have posted a pre-sawmill picture of the wood.
Lemme search my files and see if I can "stump" myself . . . . .

Harold
ummm
I need some balsa for my biplane project.
I was going to throw in another guess of that tree even if it's been ID's. I was gonna guess giant Devil's Club.
