Dull?
« on: June 18, 2001, 05:52:39 pm »
Well, the old man limbered up the Jonsered 910 this evening to cut thru a pallet of scrapwood that we use for kindling. I heard him mutter something about 'dull' after the first cut..I wasn't busy, so I moseyed on over to help him load the cut pieces onto the porch to dry. I don't know who was lauging harder as he went for the second cut- just kinda GROUND into the pile of staves, and sawed in place for several seconds til he could jockey it on down a bit. I mean, it WAS a pile of wood- he had the saw sunk to its full depth and was sawing from handle to tip- and it wasn't smoking, and the woood wasn't black- he didn't BURN thru it- but even with all the excuses, it wasn't a stellar performance for the Jonsered. No, I didn't offer to sharpen it. I just helped load the wood..   :D :D :D :Dlw
