Old chainsaw
« on: February 03, 2003, 10:57:34 am »
The first chain saw in are area was called a Wood Boss. This was approx. 1948 time wise. It had a snap action clutch with handles on top and left side. To use to fell trees required to carburator to be rotated 90 degress. If I remember correctly, it was mfg by a Canadan company. About 3 years later, they came out with a later model. This one had the crank shaft in line with the blade. To fell trees, the blade could be rotated 90 degrees.
My question- what became of this company?
