2006 Forestry Forum Christmas Contest has STARTED!!
« on: December 13, 2006, 01:43:51 pm »
Announcing the launch of this years Christmas contest. We have another great grand prize this year!  Its a Future Forestry Junior Arch from LogRite. Its the very first arch to wear the proud color of LogRite Blue and be produced at the LogRite factory and Kevin and Tamiam wanted a member of the Forestry Forum to be able to say its theirs!  We also have a second prize, or alternative prize if you will for those that want to play but don't need an arch. You can select one or the other if you are drawn first place. The alternative prize is a valuable old print from Coca-Cola from the early 40's depicting a logging scene. This is something from our collection and Tammy (wildflower) had it beautifully framed for this. We will have photos later on of the prizes. :)

There is one little catch on this years big prize, if you win the arch, you will be responsible for the shipping costs or finding a way to pick it up, but I think with all the good friends on the Forestry Forum we can surly find a way to help to get it where it goes. Kevin says disassembled it can fit in most cars, so you wont need a truck. If you win the print, Tammy and I will cover the postage.

Now, how do you enter? Let me tell you. :)

It gets started with:

You have to unscramble this first sets of letters to find popular Christmas Carols. Then, in order, take the first letter of each carol, put them all together, and use the forum search to find the next clue. Follow the clues until you reach a place that says you are entered!  We will draw a winner from all of the entries I receive. Entries must be received by midnight the 24th of December 2006. We will announce the winners here on the forum the following day, Christmas Day. Easy eh?

WINE YA ANAGRAM
OH ME FACTUAL HOLY FILE
LET THE BOOT HIT FELLOWMEN
NOMADIC SHARKS CUT THE TREE OR GRIN
HE ENTERS ODD NEED PRIOR HURDLE

Get yer thinkin caps on and have fun. This is a good one to get the kids to help on!

Merry Christmas From Jeff and Tammy and Stacy, Chet, Ianab
Kevin, Paul, Ron and Ron and Mr. Tom.
 :)

Only members are eligible for contest. If you want to enter, ya gotta register!

Third place prize donated by the Stump Jumper Family! Thanks yoozguys! ;)  :)

It wernt no picnic putting it together either. And for those that think you can just search stuff and try to get around solving the anagrams, sorry! I thought of all of that and used ineligible test subjects, DEVIOUS ones, and no search is relevant to anything other then using the clues. ;D

Don't help that the search can't handles things.
I've spent more time waiting for search then anything and it still crashes.

Its not the search. I rebooted the server it should be better as I had not done it in weeks  Besides that, you only have to search one series of letters one time. You didnt crash the search I rebooted. You were searching when it went down. simmer down now grasshopper and quit jumping to conclusions. :)
