I'm not familair with that one. I have had pretty good with Ad-aware. You can get it Major Geeks. Don't know if it will help or not.

I have had good luck with Spybot Search & Destroy.  However, I have not had an encounter with the nuisance you describe.

I'm with Pappy on this one.   Ad-Aware SE Personal (freeware) was recommended on that "old" TV show Screen Savers.  I got it and like it.  I got spybot Search and Destroy too, but, like ad-aware best.

My provider suggested Ad-Aware SE and it has worked very well. I run it once a week and it only takes a few minutes.

I am running foxfire/mozilla as a browser and havn't had any problem for more than a year. When I had explorer running I was about ready to throw this thing thru Bill Gates front window.

My grand daughter at College managed to get lots of spyware on her computer, so good 'ol GPa took it to a computer shop, they cleaned it, and suggested SpySweeper. So far, doing fine and cost was $32.95. I use the Yahoo! spyware option, at no cost and I believe it is working fine.  At least I don't detect any and no pop-ups.

I'll never use Ad-aware again.  Apparently, it works fine for some people, but for some, for whatever reason, it shuts everything down.  I had to call Dell about a year ago because after using Ad-aware, my computer just wouldn't work at all.   >:(  Dell said they get a boatload of calls a day because of Ad-aware problems.  I had to completely reformat my hard drive, and had to have India guide me through every move.

I'd caution against Ad-aware, from my personal experience.  Obviously, it's worked well for a lot of guys here, but I'll never go anywhere near that stuff on my PC.  Spybot has worked well for me.  But the best solution?  Get a Mac.   ;D  That's what I did.   ::)

Same here.  Went to Firefox and have not had an adware popup since.

I've used Ad-Aware SE for two or three years.  Haven't had any problems with it and no spyware.

The guy that built my puter installed Norton but that did not stop the spyware. Also, Norton kept asking to update which I dutifully did but now the DanG thing pops up and updates automatically when I am in the middle of something important like the FF. Gets huffy when I try to cancel till later.

Our first machine just had Norton Anti-Virus, 2nd one had Norton Utilities which included anti-virus.  This machine came from Dell with Norton Internet Security with all the bells and whistles.  It does the job 8)  I'll probably get a major infection now that I've bragged it up.  Better update ;D ;D ;) :)

I tried the free stuff for awhile, but I've come to the conclusion that there is really no incentive for the free stuff to keep current. I purchased SpySweeper a year ago and have been very pleased with it. It does a great job.
