I spent a few weeks with my foot up in the air due to a small broken bone in my foot.  When I got  back to the woods , my general conditioning was so bad  it took me a few weeks before I could īt keep up  much of an effort for  a  long  time. Really shocked me how fast  stamina  deteriorates.
Suggestion: do any kind of exercise your body will allow, even punching a  bag next to the chair in front of the TV  will help, and gets rid of a bit of aggression at the same time.

wassaw, welcome,
I had 2 hernias patched up about 5 years ago. I don't remember how long I was off.Maybe 2 weeks at the most. Last fall I had my apendex (sp?) removed was back to work in 4 days.
I go back to work on the 29th. I've been doing a lot around here the last 2 weeks. I'm going to miss playing around home Too easy to hit the coffee  6 or 7 times a day :o. this is what you call BEING YOUR OWN BOSS 8)

i wish i was only going to be off 2 weeks. doc told me i couldn,t even drive for 2 weeks. i told him i had a couple of vehicles that were automatic, but that did not matter. he told me i couldn,t do anything for 6 weeks and then asked me what i did. when i told him i ran a sawmill and logged by myself he said to make it 8. boy, by the time i get to do anything i am going to have to retrain myself, and i am not a very good teacher. oh well
