more bug questions

I sawed up a few logs that had been down for a few years on the ground, it's white oak and chestnut oak.

some of the sapwood has lots of holes in it.  I'm assuming from bugs.  should I fumigate it? treat it with borates? burn it?

the holes are pretty small, around 1/16" or so, no bigger than an 1/8"

I think you could safely assume that the buggers that left those holes only like wet wood. Get it sticked and drying and they will take a hike.
