Am I nuts  ???
Don't ya just rip some 4/4 x 4/4 material out of a log that does not look so hot for lumber ???

Gee the numbers for stickers being tossed around makes me want to go into the sticker making business ;)

Sure they have some crook and wane but it is a sticker isn't it?  Aren't 98% of logs just lumber and not highly figured "gold".

Nah, you ain't nuts. You is practical.
Some of us just rather cut lumber than stickers.
Some of us can't cut stickers worth a hoot.
Some of us can - just don't wanna. To each his own.
Some of us got more money than sense.
Some of us keep the money and make the stickers.
Some of us think, in the long run, the plastic ones are actually cheaper.
Some of us are lazy.
Some of us think the REST of us are the ones who is nuts.
Some of us when we look at them we think - "Look at all that time I could have been cutting beams and wood. And fishing. And lovin my woman. And cuttin the yard. No, I hire that out too. Cuttin the yard that is .........
Me, I am some of all of the above and I'm just looking for the easy way out when it comes to stickers. I love 'em but I hate makin 'em.

I go by the local retail lumber yard and they give me the 2x sticks that come on the bottom and top of their lumber packs. they are 3" or 4" wide, so I rip them in half to get two out of each one. they are usually 3 foot sticks, and I don't think they are kiln dried, but lots of them are real old and real dry. They work pretty good for free. :)

I don't know if my 5% idea killed the thread but actually, since none of the members would be selling and profiting from this idea maybe it would be okay to save our 5%, since, part of the whole point in having alot of them made is to .... save money.

I'm just waiting on the details of the deal... I could use about 5,000 of them for now, and possibly more later on. I'm planning on giving or selling them to saw customers for the most part anyway, and can see where I could use a bunch of them in the near future.

just the facts mam, just the facts ;D
