Another Shipping Story
«

A little different from what we have been hearing. About midnight on Saturday I ordered a logrite mill special on line from TimberPro. Got the order confirmation, Monday, got the shipping confirmation from UPS. Wednesday, the brown truck comes splashing through the mud at the mill. Guess what, he had the hook, exactly what I ordered a day earlier than expected. I know that this might not a world shattering event, but with all the shipping horror stories lately might be good to know there is a bright spot now and then.
Thanks Captain and UPS for the super service.

If'n my backordered Stihl 'LogRite' doesn't happen pretty quick, I'm gonna cancel my order (it's in the Stihl 2006 catalog) and order it through TimberPro.
After using Jeff's 'LogRite' at the PiggyRoast, I just don't like using my old cant hook anymore. Takes too many 'digs' to get it to hold, and then I don't trust it to keep holding while I put my weight behind it.

What I like is tracking the package across the country as it moves from terminal to terminal. Often surprises me the route it takes sometimes.

Some places are just flat out customer friendly. I called Coleman's Sawmill supply in Orleans In where I get my scragg mill blades. We needed 4 blades the next day in Al. They got them made, shipped and at the mill in 24 hours. That mill is 500 miles away. I told Steve Coleman to take a look at the FF. I mentioned that he ought to look into being a sponsor.
You can't beat that for good service.

The Stihl 'logrite' canthook arrived and I picked it up this morning. Goin to the woods now to try it out. Will look for a way to 'holster' it on my tractor while getting some white oak in, if its not too muddy. Sun is out now and it was supposed to be snowing.
My Stihl dealer was very impressed with the cant hook. He did say it had to be good if Stihl was going to carry it, and I don't think he was a bit disappointed. Here he is before I wrestled it away from him.
(thanks Kevin for your concern too).
