Man, if God will let me live without seeing another one of those, it will be a blessing.  On January 1, 1974 I was in The North Sea with the wind in excess of 120 m.p.h.. the seas were running 60-80 feet. There was a rig that had broken loose and was drifting toward us.  I said Lord if you will let me live long enough to get my property paid off, I promise you I'll never come back here. The drifting rig changed direction some four miles from us and went by us.  To me there are kinf of like looking at a horse shoe. When you've seen one, they all look about the same.

We did the acme screw lft system on the sawmill yesterday. It seemd to be nice. Works off a hydraulic motor.  Two toe boards to go then hopefully we'll be finished.

Can you bring your blade sharpener when you bring the mill?

This is currently the only picture that I have.  The photo shows helper #3 "helping" as I replace some bolts underneath.    Mill spent 40 years in a fence row prior to me dragging it home.  Could definitely use paint but it is more fun to make sawdust.

Welcome jrob, as Corley said, it is great to have more circle guys onboard, seeing how we are way down in numbers from the rubber band guys  :D I am probably close to you, so if you need any help, just yell.

sawguyver,
Sorry for the delay in response to your question.  I have sawn several dozen logs, mostly walnut and oak with a few cottonwood, hedge, cherry, hackberry, and locust.  My father in law also has about 10 cedar logs that I'll try to get into soon.
