Bad wreck
« on: January 20, 2006, 12:34:26 am »
My sister in-law was in a bad wreck yesterday. She was driveing and lost control on the ice, hit oncomeing trafic.
She was ok because she was hit on the other side but the 2 girls with her were not so lucky.
Girl 1:
Shattered Pelvis
Broken Femer
Colapsed lung

Girl 2:
broken arm
broken leg
damage to spleen
damge to kindney
Eye socket broke needs a plate around her eye

These girls were all 16 on the way to school.
To top it off, The 2 girls are sisters, so that family has 2 girls in ICU.

Looks like they were all in seatbelts to survive with only those injuries seeing that car. Was girl #2 in the pass rear seat and got hit by the roof? Very fortunate that the other vehicle hit square on the pillar post. Talk about a parents worse nightmare, I hope they heal well, especially girl #2. That must be really tough for her.

Hope all goes well. My wife was in a similar accident 12/4/91, other car crossed centerline and hit head on. She is now all better except where one forarm had to be rebuilt using some bone fron her hip and where the screws to initially hold it together are occasionally hurt. Hopefully all 3 girls make out as well or even better. My prayers are with all 3.
