The Cabinet That I Built ( more pics )
« on: December 08, 2005, 10:45:52 pm »
Thought I would post some pictures of my first craft project with lumber from The Bandmill That I Built.
It's a 2" x 22" x 54" cedar top and the base is all from 1" SYP.

Been doing so much with so little for so long I can now do anything with nothing, except help from y'all!
By the way rbarshaw is short for Robert Barshaw.
My Second Mill Is Shopbuilt 64HP,37" wheels, still a work in progress.

I see the boar! 8)

Nice, Bob.  It feels almost as good to do your first project off your mill, as to pull the first board off of it. ;D 8) 8) 8)

RB, that is pretty.

Regarding the 'denim pine'.... that is the first time I have heard that phrase, but I sure have seen blue stain.   I didn't know that I could increase the value of pine so easily.  I'll bet Levi pine would sell for even more; denim is too generic ;D

I can see it now, after a night of hitting the hooch, they'd walk over to it and say.............

I've seen the blue stain, never heard it called denim

Blue stain just has a poor sound to it, denim, now that sounds less like a fungus, I like the levi idea tho'.
I'll see if i can get some pics of the blue in the pine, hard to say, it's pretty subtle.
