Trail spraying

We have a hardwood bush with walking trails and logging roads cut through it.  The brush keeps popping up, and we'd like to do some spraying to keep it clear.

When do you spray, and what formulation?

Geoff an alternative to spraying trails is to use sawdust.great way to get rid of big piles,supresses some growth and creates more horse friendly trails. Just a thought.  DonT

I'd consider what exactly you are wanting to spray.  Many herbicides will work better on certain species than on others.  Method of application can also be dependent on what you're wanting to control too.

Sawdust or mulch idea isn't too bad either.
