how to rebuild a Homelite chainsaw carb?

How do I go about rebuilding a Homelite carb? can i buy a kit ? My saw will will start,idle and rev up to max but when I let go of the trigger it dies and will not run . I have to restart it every time.

first off, did you turn the idle screw to bring the idle up?  If not, you should start there.  Make sure you have clean FRESH gas in it before you start.

check your fuel line to the tank and make sure there are no blockages, cracks etc. turn the fuel mixture screws all the way in (count the turns) then loosen them back to the original position. If that doesn't help get a carb kit, you might have a hole in the little diaphram in the carb, gummed up jet, or dirt in there.
