I just wanted to say that the members here on the FF are a great bunch. I bought some Maple fron
Gunny and all thoe it was some time befor it was dry he still sent me a great Pice of wood. I will
resaw it and make a lot of segmented bowls with it.  Thanks Gunny for a nice pice of Maple.

Geez, Lester--you make me blush!

Don't forget, though, that other piece is coming and it's even nicer than the first half!  It's safe and dry, tucked behind the Oak buffet until mamma-san can sit to wrap it one evening soon (as you've seen, she takes quite awhile with her "packaging."

Scrounging the hardwood burls for you when I spy them and one's going into the kiln tomorrow just to be sure no bugs are riding alive in it when sent your way.

Can't wait for a pic of one of the bowls you make from that gnarly old tree.

Be safe that way.
