I`ll get to see one in a couple of weeks, they`ll have it at the Forestry Expo here in the Sault.

That machine looks a lot like a FMC that we skid logs with in BC Can.  It is equiped with winch and a hydraulic bed that supports one end of the logs off the ground and when butt skidding will skid adverse slopes very well. It works good in wet terrain and is quite stable on steep slopes.  The one downer for this machine is maintenance costs are  high.

I was quoted around $20000. At the northeast forestry expo. But the
one there looked like there was more to it in the back. A 3 pt hitch
grapple would be nice.

Kevin,
How much does the FORCAT 2000 weigh and what
are it's ground pressure stats?
A picture can't do for seeing something in person
but the undercarriage/bogey system looks a little
bit on the light weight side. Here's another undercarriage
for comparison.
