If the bearing failed soon after it was installed, chances are some or all of the balls were out of round or not all the same diameter. Making good bearings requires super precise grinding of balls and rollers.

The grinding equipment to mass produce large quantities is now readily available around the world, but knowing how to run it takes some learning, AT YOUR EXPENSE. 
Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I can see where over greasing can cause problems inside the bearing by increasing rolling resistance through the packed grease.
I ran the mill this weekend and had no other problems.  8) I think (knock on wood) that the mill is ok and I just bought a bad bearing. smiley_dark_bulb
