My new Toys! PICS!
« on: September 10, 2005, 03:01:56 pm »
I went and picked up my NEW USED 18" Yates planer today.  Came complete with a full set of brand new extra blades and a Three phase motor.

Also sealed the deal on the Bellsaw circle saw.  Now I can say I am a Circle Sawyer when the time is right or a band miller when the time is right  ;D  Would that be called riden the fence or being a middleman  ;D

Actually Kirk, I don't belive you can be called a Circle Sawyer until you have the mill up and running and cut some wood.
Better get off your butt and get to work eh?  ;)

Hey remember that old planer I told ya about last fall ???
They sold it at auction today..........they only got $175 for it. :'(

I'd bet it's the inside screwy part of an augar.  You had to have someway to get all the ginormous amounts of sawdust out from under the mill.

Hey Kirk that looks just like my first mill, learned a lot on that old mill, learned I should get rid of it and get a band mill ;D :D
If it can't be nailed or glued then screw it

Bibby you called it.  The outer cover of the auger was rusted away and sitting behind the saw shed.

Thanks pasbuild, just what I need to hear :D

What can I say?  The price was right!

The old Belsaw was a grandpappy of the TimberKing company.  When I was down to TimberKing in KC talking with Will Johnson,  he said they still had calls for help on the old mills and had someone there that could answer questions about them.  Maybe had a few parts left or could still suply them.

Just kiddin with ya Kirk, I might still have that old Belsaw of mine had I known that the guy whose place I had it set up at was going to let it go back to the bank. Had to move it QUICK so I traded it for the material to build a garage.
