Congratulations Stumpy,

But you’re going to have to work on bragging about your granddaughters.   I think we have the brightest, most beautiful granddaughters in the world.

Their beauty is obvious but here is evidence of their personality and intelligence.

Mary got a call last evening from Brooke’s first grade teacher.  She wanted Mary to know how much she enjoyed having Brooke in her class and how well she was reading. She said she was already reading at a level for the end of the school year and she didn’t know how she was going to keep material in front of her to keep her challenged.

Then this morning Mary showed me a couple of Alex’s papers from her third grade work. On a short story Alex had written the teacher commented – and I quote. “This is the best writing I have ever had from a third grader this early!!  Wonderful!!  Excellent!!”

She got a 100% on her spelling test +5 points for the bonus words – Montgomery, Alabama and Juneau, Alaska.

They take after their grandpa... ;D

OK Bibbyman, you gotta give me some time, she's only a week old!!!!  One of the great things about being a grandparent is that you can argue with other granparents about who's the best grandchild and both of us are right. I appreciate all the responses to my post. I just had to tell someone!!!

I’z just having fun..  :)

Every grandparent thinks their grandkids are the best.  It’s hard to argue with that.  My folks are great grandparents.  They're just nuts about great grandkids.

Back years ago I worked with a single woman with no kids when all the other women in the office were married and having babies.  She got so tired of looking at all the baby pictures she made up a little photo album of her pets.  Any time one of her friends would bring in pictures, she’d drag out the pictures of her pets.  For some reason, they stopped asking her if she wanted to see pictures of their kids. ::)
