oregon 511 grinder??

I have a oregon 511 chain grinder.  I am having a hard time finding all of the correct angles to set everything (vise tilt, top-plate cutting angle,etc.) for each different type of chain.  I have the info on oregon chains because it is in the manual.  Howwould I find out the proper settings for all of the different stihl chains I have.  Any knowlege would be loved and cared for.
Are there any books, etc on bench grinding angles for different chains.

Get a Stihl chain box from the dealer, it has everything you should require on the back of the box.

If the Stihl box instructions don't give you the speed of cut you want, it's not a problem with the grinder. The Stihl box instructions yeild very different angles than what the Stihl factory grinds on their chain. Start with the box instructions and then compare to new chain and modify the angles as you need.

If you have the time I guess you could change the settings for each chain. Or you can find the setting  that works in general for all of your chains and go with it.

The Stihl factory grind cannot be reproduced with normal sharpening methods. Stihl grinds their chain teeth before assembly and the position of the tie straps prevent regrinding at the same angle.

Striker is correct, just take your normal angles and use them on whatever chain you got. It makes very little difference unless you're racing saws on measured cuts with a stopwatch.
