I saw a Lucas mill with 43 hours on it, and 8" and was wondering what you guys thought it would go for?  What have you seen?

I love going to auctions and getting something for a fraction of it's new cost, but  I'd never sell at one for the same reason.

I'd think selling through Sawmill Exchange would be better, or even an add in the local Pennysaver/Swap sheet/whatever you have in your area would be better than auction. If you do go auction, set a reserve or retain the ability to bid your own equipment back, but you will still need to pay a cut to the auctioneer.

I have a friend who had trouble selling his Lucas for a decent price because they have come down in price over the years and his model actually sold new for less 5 years later than when he bought his, so he had to take a bath to be rid of it. :(

My two cents.

I have no idea, but I'd love to have it.   I'd go to the auction just to see If'n I could get it cheap.
