You might better just buy on Tuesdays. Get some extra cans if you can't last a week on the Tuesday fill up.

Apparently, our Alberta oil would be $20 a barrel cheaper than what we currently use from overseas at the Irving refinery. But we only have pipeline as far as Montreal, as usual for us Maritimers. But I can't see why we would need it, we have Hybernia in Newfoundland, which would be cheaper to extract on an oil platform wouldn't it? But, the Irvings don't want cheap, we found this out in the 70's. That's when they became lavishly rich off oil speculations. By the time the oil got to shore in Saint John it may have have been traded 3 times.

Pre-commercial thinning pays off. :)

$4.45 - $4.65 / gal for Regular gas in San Francisco.  Yikes!

Still under $4.00 / gal back home when I left last weekend.

It's no good anywhere.

$1.42/ltr  or $5.38 per gal  for diesel here, a few cents a liter cheaper for reg gas.  I use a lot of diesel.

Heard a guy on the radio saying ethanol is a curse. Lowers mileage and fowls up small engines. Well been hearing it for years from you guys. He lobbied against it before the Feds instituted a 10% content in regular. The oil barrens won of course. Cheaper to produce apparently, but the prices don't reflect it at the pump.

Another 2 cents a liter effective this morning in our area supposedly to help fund mass transit. Then another 1 cent carbon tax province wide on July 1. Easy to target us environmentally irresponsible fossil fuel users. >:(

Amazing, from the opening post, to the last post, the price of regular grade gasoline has more than doubled.

That's from Jul 2005, $2.039 - Apr 2012, $4.119!

What's next.

Diesel was 179.9 in April of 2004 in Florida.
That is when I had bought my truck and diesel was cheaper than regular gas.
Now diesel is at least a quarter more than regular.
Diesel was probably a lot less in States like South Carolina at that time.  Probably close to 1.50 a gallon.
My times have changed.
It used to be your savings doubled every seven years. ::)
