You know that old saying?
« on: January 31, 2005, 09:57:01 pm »
some days you get the bear and somedays the bear gets you?

Well today I GOT the bear!!! :)
Stopped by that strange place I call work to beat some money out of the dirtbag I work for part time. I stopped in to see the dispatcher and his first statement was Well I see you been running the saw mill. Which I had been all morning. I said yeah I had been, one of the drivers sitting there Asked me if I would be interested in some trees. Stupid question right? I asked how many and he says well I got 50 acres of I want clear cut  :o :o :o Apparently he don't like trees! He's all ready started by pushing them over a hill  >:( According to him theres cherry poplar and oak all over and lots of it big. I'll find out more next week sometime.

I'm thinking if this pans out I may just move the mill there sure would be easier than hauling them home.

yeah I had shoulder surgery, its stil a bit sore at times but I'm back at it.  I'm not gonna jump on that lottery ticket just yet, I haven't seen these so called trees . Knowing my luck it's probably all crooked and twig sized. You know how truck drivers are right?
do you know the differance between a truck drivers tale and a fairy tale?

A fairy tale starts out once upon a time, a nd a truck driver tale starts out you ain't never gonna believe this!! :D :D :D

As for bowl turning yeah I'm still at it even turned out a lamp or two

I'd think twice about taking the mill there. Sure, the trees are useless and in the way to the guy now, until he sees those boards peeling off the mill. Suddenly, they're worth a fortune to the guy! :D
